In 1979 David Harper caught Legionella as a hospital engineer at Kingston Hospital. This was the first recognised legionella incident related to hot and cold water systems and all because the water temperature circulation in the hospital was reduced to 40 degrees celsius for the purpose of anti-scald. On recovering David got together with Horne and devised a blending valve for hand wash purposes and the TMV was born. Now to buy the Rolls Royce Version at an affordable price Hurlstone Partners are the main distributor.
